Phase 1: Quick Feasibility Snapshot (5 Minutes)

Goal: Rapidly assess early interest with almost no lift.

You complete one short form covering:

  • Product differentiation

  • Member value and benefits

  • Competitive landscape

  • Ability to deliver 20% perceived value

  • Readiness for consignment-based roadshows

  • Multi-club activation capacity

  • Basic pricing feasibility (simple Yes/No)

No documents. No samples. No cost sheets.
If aligned → move to Stage 2.
If not → the process stops to save you time.

Phase 2: Preliminary Validation (Moderate Ask)

Requested only if Stage 1 is promising.

We collect:

  • Simple competitive comparison

  • Initial pricing aligned to Sam’s requirements

  • Confirmation of roadshow feasibility

  • Optional third-party testing

Still no heavy documentation required.
If economics and positioning check out → proceed to Stage 3.

Phase 3: Full Evaluation Package (Detailed Documentation Only When Needed)

Provided only when a clear path forward exists.

Requested materials include:

  • Brand two-pager (mock-up, competitive grid, value summary)

  • Detailed cost structure & financials

  • Insurance documentation

  • Food safety documents as applicable (GFSI audit, permits, SOPs)

  • Production plan & capacity

  • Ingredient/allergen list (for food or supplements)

After review, physical samples may be requested.

Phase 4: Sample Shipment & Final Category Review

You ship samples and the finalized two-pager to Sam’s Club/Studio 83 per category rules.

Ascenda/Samplers complete the polished submission for Category 63.
Sam’s Club typically reviews within 10 business days.
